7 Sins - pride, envy, gluttony, greed, lust, sloth, and wrath by Shakuntala Kanakagiri

Torn and tattered, beaten and battered

She lay there, a lump of life constricted

Throbbing with intense pain inflicted

By hunky egos bloated in vain- glory and domination

Male 'PRIDE', on a mission of primitive glorification

Blood shot eyes, raving and ranting inanities

Blokes ‘FIRST SIN', on frail and tender entities

Masking weaknesses with a macho swag

Luring lasses, maidens, ladies and girls to brag

Parading a torso tough and a mind so bleak

With thudding hearts and throbbing bleats

Of addictions and compulsions countless

Fantasies and foolhardiness seamless

Emotions running riot as hormones go on a binge

As sanity and sensitivity just cringe

'ENVY', draining desires dubious and multiple

Bitterness bringing feelings that strangle

Ethics and sentiments wavering and wobbling

Crude intentions crumpling and crushing

Decency riding piggyback on emotions sliding

The 'SECOND SIN', of hoodlums ever degrading and deriding

Resentful in every sense of an expression

Standing brazenly with deceit and deception

'GLUTTONY', HIS feed and fodder for life

Ravaging the modesty of every feminine alike

Courting, cavorting and thrusting HIS might

Revelling in beastly pleasures of the 'THIRD SIN,' outright

Man's 'GREED', crushing every gentle and innocent flower

Before it blooms to its fullest

form and colour

Caught in the throes of this misladen manhood

Daring and daunting in his devilish hood

His libido, like lava streaming uncontrolled

Many a woman left devastated from sufferings untold

Of ghastly and gory 'FOURTH SIN OF HEAVEN',

Strumming HIS vanity strings brazen

'LUST' in those dark eyes, desire scorching HIS sensations

Raw and rugged emotions driving him to carnal compulsions

Yearnings and longings, leaving HIM spurned

Like wild agitations on roller coaster turns

'FIFTH SIN OF HEAVEN’s ruthless ramblings

With mind's reason and rationale utterly fumbling

Like a lazy 'SLOTH' man ambles, utterly depleted

Unleashing misplaced powers of manhood conceited

Parading his virility in the alleys of fantasy flights

Stumped by his own sins he falls from the mighty heights

Devoid of any guilt or mortification

He succumbs to the 'SIXTH SIN', of sheer intoxication

Yet defiant, obnoxious, untamed and unapologetic

The 'WRATH', of his spunky hunger nibbling at his senses

Ravaging and rummaging the modesty of innocence

Ripping off dignity and respect blatant

The 'SEVENTH SIN OF HEAVEN', croaking in defiance

The seven sins stewing in Satan's mind

Spewing Pride, Envy, Gluttony unkind

Greed, Lust, Sloth and wrath of a kind

Succumbing to this vicious cycle is mankind

Caught in the web of Seven Sins of Heaven

Man unleashes his satanic passion

Fighting, foisting, fooling and flashing

His intentions merciless and

flashing

The claws of mercenaries, the jaws of

brutalities

The Seven Sins of Heaven’s,

The Seven steps to Hell's afflictions

The inferno of lust and power

The hellfire of torture and ire

The Avernus of wicked and the wild

The SEVEN SINS OF HEAVEN'

Shaping man’s destiny and destination.
