Times when a Queen sat near a beautiful open window
Sewing and looking at nature's spellbinding scenario
She pricked her fingers and three drops of blood fell below
On the window sill's pristine white mounds of snow ...
She longed for a girl child, her skin as white as snow
Lips as red as a rose! That would forever glow
Hair as black as ebony' like the nimbus mounds afloat
Hence christened 'Snow White', a forbearing Angel with a halo...
Thus long, long ago a fairy tale made its way to the core!
Of people's hearts and homes with an
engrossing folklore!
There lived a maiden' fair of face and bright as snow!
Thenceforth she was called 'Snow White the Princess', with a halo ! ...
The queen died while birthing her daughter Snow White
King married again, a beautiful maiden, vain and wicked in might
She flaunted her magic mirror that would praise her to high heights
Her Mirror always said, "You are the most gorgeous woman in sight"...
Her narcissistic stepmother would always blow her own trumpet
Loud and clear to show her vanity encased in a golden casket
Self-obsessed, one day she'd ask the mirror on the wall to test
Mirror, Mirror on the wall! Who of all is the fairest? ...
But Mirror responded to her mighty call
Its Snow White! Fairer and beautiful than 'You', and all
Spewing ire at the mirror's declaration tall
Fuming and fretting !! She yelled, "I'm the fairest of all! I'm the fairest of all"!
Seething in humiliation, resentment and jealousy!
She swore to punish Snow White for her ethereal beauty!
Brewing wicked ways to put an end to her jealousy!
Ridding Snow White of her seraphic radiance heavenly ...
She threw steaming water on Snow White's spotless ivory face
To disfigure her most enchanting and beatific grace
In a flash an Archangel flew down, whisking her away
Saving her from her stepmother's spiteful and malicious ways...
Adamant on destroying innocent Snow White altogether
Relentless she played other tricks to eliminate her
Calling out to her deceptively in an endearing tone and tenor
Lovingly escorted Snow White into the jungles to eliminate her ...
She pushed her into the thickets of 'Poison Ivy'
Yet again a Seraphim red-winged Angel rushed down readily
Pulled out Snow White from the poison ivy bushes instantly ...
To kill Snow White, every attempt was a wasted effort
So she shut her up in a cavern, sealed the entrance and left
The 'Cherubim', chubby child angels hovering around to protect
Pulled out Snow White safe from the clutches of magical cave clefts...
Spewing venom, repeatedly her stepmother tried to kill Snow White
But every time gentle Angels saved her from her miserable plight
T'was time to punish her stepmother for her jealousy trite
The Angels around Snow White chaperoned her with sincere delight...
The 'Power Angels', 'Of Evil Forces', were invoked to guard Snow White
They descended to whisk her stepmother away from the site
In the golden hours of twilight, Angels took her stepmother away to distant heights
Sullen and broken she was sadly trapped in her own plight ...
And so the saga of plotting to kill Snow White ended thereafter
Snow White the pure soul lived peacefully ever after
A Fairy tale of goodness versus evil intentions lived on forever
All is well that ends well for humanity beautifully whatsoever.
