Amidst this humdrum of everyday mundane affairs, ‘The Red Ganges’ breeze flowed with more might now in Nawabganj and also went farther to some of its neighbouring areas. The full moon nights were now feared by people of noble classes to whom few dawns came with the jargon of ‘The Red Ganges’ spreading in the air from each direction of the town. Times were becoming gloomy with each passing day and in those times, Moina’s parents were worried about her wishing hard that she found a man and a house that would take care of her. But the only condition was to be confined within the four walls of the house which Moina was not ready to do yet.
