Handlooms have been an integral part of our lives, and they have different styles and ways of adorning them. But whatever style, form, or fabric it comes in, a saree remains the most unmatched and stylish attire of all times. Thus, our intention this time is to bring those heirloom stories into the form of literature. You have to weave your story either about the handloom (saree) in a fictional way or you can create some fictional characters who love to wear saree. You can also choose to write a non-fictional account with real life characters too.
Here are some simple rules for you to make the submission process smooth for both of us…
Only one entry per household. You can choose to send either a poem, an article, a prose piece, memoir or a short story.
Poetry can be of any length, style or form. For short stories, the word limit is 2500-3000 words. For articles, prose pieces or a memoir 1000-1500 is the word limit.
This time we are allowing photography too. You can send us some rare saree photos or even some latest ones with perfect lenses and HD quality. A backstory will be the cherry on top!
You can also send us book reviews and recipes too.
The last date to submit your piece is 30th October 2023 till midnight IST.
Send your entry with ‘Signature Edition’ in the subject line along with your latest Bio in third person and a clear HD image of yours and send it to editorialmagazinecc@gmail.com
Selected writers will have to make an advance payment of INR. 1200 (with taxes) against which they will get two copies of the Bellissimi Journal and a Publication Certificate.
