Submission is Open for New Poetry Project, 'Poems from the Kitchen'.

Updated: Mar 19

The kitchen is the heart of the house! And poetry is the heart of a poetic soul. Long back I wrote a piece with a poem on kitchen and got it published in my second poetry book, later on, I realised that I found poetry inside the kitchen in almost everything visible to my eyes, like in a bottle of jam, the colour of turmeric, tea cups and many other things. This only prompted me with the idea that I could surely turn this into a poetry project with the help of a larger group of poets. You get the drift, don’t you? Yes, this time the theme is something close to all of our hearts, ‘Poems from the Kitchen’. Before you start thinking with your creative hats, read some of the simple rules before submitting:

1.     Only one entry per household, but any length of poem is acceptable.

2.     You can use any style of writing, like lyrical, free verse, classic or even contemporary style.

3.     Submit your piece with ‘Kitchen Poems’ in the Subject line. Send it in a docx. File only along with your Bio in third person and a clear HD image of your headshot.

4.     Send it by or before 15th April 2024 midnight IST for your piece to be considered. Send it to editorialmagazinecc@gmail.com

5.     The final names of the poets will be announced on 1st May 2024.

6.     The final number of poets selected will have to pay INR. 1500 in advance against which they would be getting four Author Copies and one Certificate of Publication.

Kindly Note: We are a small group of Editors running a Contemporary Publishing House, thus our timeline remains longer for any book to come out as a final product.
